Classes and Life

Personally my projects and paper are all but complete for the semester! I have had at least one every other day for the last 2 weeks. This week I have a 1-2 page paper due! Then for the rest of the semester I have 1 presentation and 3 smaller papers due (one of which is optional). It has been a crazy past few weeks, it is nice to wave goodbye to presentations and papers for awhile. Phil on the other hand is just now getting into big project season. I am not sure on how many he has (I don't know if he has counted them all up yet). Phil heard back from the Truman Scholarship people and he didn't get it. We don't mind too much at all it just makes deciding what to do for the future a much easier decision; teach! Phil has been enjoying working with his ESL students at Central for the semseter and I think that it has been a big help in knowing which direction to go with life. I don't mind because it means less poor college student life and more poor teacher life. Not really, I mean I wouldn't mind him being home all summer long with me, I'll even take a pay cut from an office job to have that.

Pistachio

In case you are wondering what Pistachio is, its our baby! We are due on August 10th! We are super excited to have this little nut in our life. After we lost one in July, it is nice to be having one coming. We have had two ultrasounds so far - one to make sure it was still there, and one to check for down syndrome. (So far everything looks good.) This picture is from that ultrasound; we would have had a video, but our dvd didn't work right. But the pictures are wonderful!

Zebra Cakes

On Friday we went grocery shopping and they had heart-shaped zebra cakes and I love those stupid things, so I had to have them. Well I occasionally had one and I decided one night to have them for dessert after dinner. I wanted to make them fancier than just having the thing wrapped in plastic, so I zig-zagged some strawberry syrup and coconut flakes on them. Phil thought it was the best tasting thing in the whole world. The next night I was going to make molten cake and Phil said that I didn't need to that he would be happy with the zebra cakes with strawberry syrup, and then put some cool whip and some coconut flakes on top of that! I thought it was absolutely crazy zebra cakes over homemade molten cake, and I thought I was crazy about the things.

By the way...
I promise I will update the blog sometime this weekend. School (and work for that matter) is insane right now for me. I have a project and/or a test in every class in the two weeks, with only one finished! Also with work, I just got hired for two new jobs, in one day. One of them is babysitting a 2 & 4 year old boys for Phil's boss until spring break twice a week and the other is a note taker for one of my classes, so I get paid to attend class and take notes! Well I have a paper to write for tomorrow that I haven't really started on yet so, I will have to update later on...
