Festival, Fair and Contests

Warsaw has a monthly event of a festival in downtown called First Friday, we have gone for quite a few of them since we moved here last year.  It is free and just a fun time to hang out and see the people and downtown businesses.  Last week's theme was Great American Picnic, and it was the best one ever!  We had a great time.  Matt and his family was there and so we had a huge group.  We ate dinner at the Fire Station for their 100th anniversary and walked around.  Phil, Pete and Ben had a great time at the courthouse lawn for the local band.  I took a couple videos of the little boys in the wagon pretending to be playing along with the trumpets.   Super cute.

This week is now the county fair so Pete and I finally made it there this morning.  Pete loved going and seeing the Taos (cows) and Mowies (tractors).  The fair is free before 1pm so it was worth it.  We may have to go again tomorrow in the morning again. Pete also enjoyed the Leesburg Dairy Barn ice cream he downed his whole cup and I didn't even have to wait for him!

I also found a photo contest to enter a picture that I took of Pete at the concert.  This week's theme was Americana.  I ask you what is more American than a boy in a red wagon with an American flag behind him,  he is even on the courthouse lawn!  Shutterfly is hosting the photo contest (it started on the 9th and goes until 8/12)  on facebook. It is Long Live Summer Facebook Photo Contest, here is a link if you would like to try your hand at it: http://bit.ly/sweepS.  Personally I would love a trip to the Bahamas.  Heck, I would just love a real vacation, but I have a slight feeling that doesn't happen with a toddler in the house!
